Illinois Uniform Crime Reports (I-UCR) Murder (and Nonnegligent Manslaughter) offenses reported to police for calendar years 2000 through 2008. Murder and Nonneegligent Manslaugther is the willful (nonnegligent) killing of one human being by another. Attempts are not included but are included as Aggravated Assaults. Rates are per 100,000 people using total county populations.
