IDOC New Court Commitment Rate for a Person Offense

New court commitments into the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for a person offense from fiscal years 2000-2009 are from an ICJIA analysis of IDOC data. Person offenses include homicide, kidnapping, assault, battery, forced harm, home and vehicular invasion, robbery, armed robbery, weapons offenses, and armed violence. This data does not include those incarcerated for a technical violation. Rates are per 100,000 people using total county populations.
