IDOC New Court Commitment Rate for a Drug Offense

New court commitments into the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for a drug offense from fiscal years 2000-2009 are from an ICJIA analysis of IDOC data. Drug offenses include possession, manufacture/delivery of cannabis, controlled substances, or paraphernalia, and driving under the influence. This data does not include those incarcerated for a technical violation. Rates are per 100,000 people using total county populations.
