IDOC New Court Commitment Rate for a Violent Offense

New court commitments into the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for a violent offense from fiscal years 2000-2009 are from an ICJIA analysis of IDOC data. Violent offenses are a subset of person and sex offenses. This data does not include those incarcerated for a technical violation. Rates are per 100,000 people using total county populations.
