IDOC New Court Commitment Rate for a Property Offense
New court commitments into the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for a property offense from fiscal years 2000-2009 are from an ICJIA analysis of IDOC data. Property offenses include theft, retail theft, forgery, deception, fraud, burglary, residential burglary, arson, criminal damage to property, and motor vehicle offenses, including motor vehicle theft. This data does not include those incarcerated for a technical violation. Rates are per 100,000 people using total county populations.
