IDOC New Court Commitment Rate for a Sex Offense
New court commitments into the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for a sex offense from fiscal years 2000-2009 are from an ICJIA analysis of IDOC data. Sex offenses include rape and sexual assault before 1984, criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual abuse, prostitution, registry violations, other sex offenses, and people classified as sexually dangerous. This data does not include those incarcerated for a technical violation. Rates are per 100,000 people using total county populations.
